We are in week 4 of our series on stewardship. This week we will be continuing with part 2 of our discussion on work and rest:
1) What are we called to do?
2) How are we called to do it?
3) What do we need in order to do it?

Our text is Genesis 1-2.
I'm at home with the flu this afternoon, but maybe will post some more thoughts from the sermon tomorrow if I get in to the office. Do you have thoughts from last week? We covered a lot of ground and felt like there were some good conversations around the tables.

I thought it was kind of odd that when you mentioned Pandora's box and all the evil that was let into the world that you didn't mention that hope was also let into the world according to the myth. I kept waiting for you to say it or tie it in somehow...

Anyway I hope you feel better soon, and that Allison doesn't get the flu. That is the worst.

    Kelly,
The reason I referenced the story of Pandora's box was was to illustrate the point that Western culture (Greek) viewed work as bad. While hope is a part of the whole story, it didn't serve any purpose to mention it. I did hear you say "hope" from the side of the room though. :)
